Root canal treatment involves the removal of the soft inner tooth tissue, often called dental pulp (nerve).  This more extensive treatment is sometimes required if the tooth or pulp tissue becomes unhealthy or injured.

 

As a result your tooth and dental discomfort can be quickly and easily treated simply through removing the current pulp (nerve) tissue and replacing it with rubber and cement like material.  Often a crown (cap) is then placed on top to further protect the tooth.

 

Root canals often require two appointments.
